Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

I had my interview for Adjustment of Status on August 17th. in Denver. We got there pretty early to avoid any traffic jams and after a waiting time of about 45 minutes we were called in for the interview. The immigration officer was really friendly and only asked a couple of easy questions, each others birthdates, the first names of our parents and so on. He also wanted to see some evidence of us really living together and when I handed over my Military Spouse ID and the Health Insurance Enrollment it was just fine. He kept on going through all the paper we ever send, maybe to make sure he had all the documents he needed and was totally surprised because I provided him with copies of all originals we brought with us. After 15 minutes we were approved, done and out!

Interview started 1H15 after my scheduled time. The interview lasted approximately 1 hours. IO did not take my I-94 but said that I was approved and that I'd get my card in a few weeks. Woohoo!

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

We had our interview in Denver and arrived half hour early. We had ALL our paperwork with us and went through security and handed the guard our appointment letter which they kept. My husband, Jim, made a comment about wouldn't it be great if they were running ahead of time and I laughed as so far most appointments required lots of waiting. Well, Jim's comment paid off as the officer called our name 10 minutes early!

We had a very brief interview, the officer asked us how we met and wanted to know about Jim's previous marriages and the lessons he learned from them and why this marriage was going to work. Being my first time being married, the officer then asked if I was 'leary' about marrying someone who has been divorced. We then talked about how our relationship has progressed since me arriving in the States and showed him an album of our wedding photos and visiting Jim's family in Texas. Other questions involved confirming personal details:DOB, address, parent's names... read complete review

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

We arrived about 15 minutes before our interview. We showed up at the wrong immigration office first. I had no idea there were 3 in Denver. The waiting room was about a 3rd full, clean and looked like it was the place you see on TV when there is a breaking news story about immigration.

We were called right on time by a young man {Mark} (late 20's early 30's). We sat in his office and he swore us in. He then asked us to verify who we were and where we lived. He asked how we met and if we had any kids. He did not ask for anything we brought except my hubbies ss number.

The interview lasted about 15 minutes. He said everything was fine, but still waiting on the FBI name check . Not surprising since we got out interview date SO FAST. Everyone from the guards to the officer was really nice and seemed happy. The office was clean and modern. He did mention that they would be consolidating the 3 offices in to one in the near future.
